Sovereign

God has a will. By Himself and with assistance from no one, He makes decisions, policies and establishes principals. He ALWAYS acts in accordance with ALL of the other attributes of His Holy Nature and will NEVER express one attribute at the expense of another.

Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Psalms 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Daniel 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Righteous

God is absolute righteousness and perfection. It is impossible for Him to do or cause anything that is wrong. He is morally perfect without a shadow of deception.

Ezra 9:15 O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this. Psalms 48:10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. 1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Just

God is absolutely just. It is impossible for Him to do anything that is unfair to Himself, to man, or to Satan. He executes perfect justice in accordance with His attribute of righteousness. All that unrighteous will be judged by Him and separated from Him.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Eternal Life

There never was a time when God did not exist nor will there ever be a time when He will cease to exist.

Exodus 15:18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever. Deuteronomy 32:40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

Job 36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out. Psalms 9:7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

Psalms 135:13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations. Lamentations 5:19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.

I Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Immutable

God never changes in His nature or His attributes.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Psalms 33:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Hebrews 1:12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.

Veracity

God is absolute truth. Any word or deed that does not conform to what He has revealed in His word is not the truth. To know him is to know is to know reality. But the absence of truth always ensures the presence of error.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. 2 Samuel 7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. Psalms 146:6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:

Isaiah 65:16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Omniscient

God possesses all knowledge. He always has and always will know everything that has, is or will ever happen.

Job 26:6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. Job 31:4 Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

Psalms 147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Omnipresent

God is infinitely and personally present everywhere at once, through all time and space.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Psalms 139:5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Omnipotent

God is all-powerful having more than enough strength to do the sum total of all things.

Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Psalms 115:3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Luke 1: 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Love

God is perfect and infinite love. It is freely given without any consideration to the loveliness or merit of the receiver to His enemies as well as His friends.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
