Haven Support of Missions and New Church Plants
Since the founding of Haven Church we have had a heart for Missions and we have committed to a faith promise to support outside works. Most of the missionaries we have supported have ties to our church, with many attending Haven Church while they are in Bible College at Southeastern FWB Bible College in Wendell. We are currently supporting two new church plants, as three of the churches we supported in 2022 (Flagship, Glad Tidings, and Beacon Church) went self-supporting in 2022. We also support the Harvest Child Care Ministries in Duffield, VA. This is a great ministry that takes in abused and neglected children and provides a safe, Christian atmosphere for healing and development. All of the works we support are reaching out to their communities to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to lost and hurting people. We’re so happy to be a part of these ministries from right here in the Raleigh / Cary area.
Every year during the Christmas season we receive a “Haven’s Greatest Gift” offering that is designated to outside ministries, including missions. other supported ministries or tuition for Southeastern FWB College students.
In December of 2022, Haven’s Greatest Gift offering went to a local ministry, the Raleigh Dream Center. RDC is a Christian-based, volunteer driven organization providing residential and community outreach programs to homeless, abused and impoverished high-risk youth, individuals and families. They partner with local churches to CONSISTENTLY provide resources to under-privileged communities and reach out to those individuals in substance abuse, physical abuse, experiencing homelessness, participating in gangs, or other circumstances.

Harvest Free Will Baptist Child Care Ministries is a non-profit agency that provides a loving home-like atmosphere for abused, neglected, abandoned and troubled children. Harvest CCM’s philosophy is based on the belief that a healthy Christian home environment, caring parents, and a wholesome family life are fundamental necessities, if not rights, for every child.
Rev. Carl and Mrs. Mary Miller are Advancement Representatives for the state of North Carolina, and are members of Haven Church.

Equip FWB Church (Project Hickory)

Pastor Brandon Smith
Brandon and Shelly Smith are leading the most recent FWB Missions project … “Project Hickory.” This is a joint project between FWB North American Ministries (NAM) and the North Carolina State Mission Board. Team Hickory includes lead planter Brandon Smith and his wife Shelly, and Jonathan Huff and his wife Heather as associate. We are excited to support this new work early in their ministry.

Stephen and Lauren attended Haven Church during their college years at Southeastern FWB College, and Stephen was Youth Pastor at Haven for over 2 years during that time. They are still very near to the heart of our church and they are doing a great work in the Irvine, California community.

Matthew 25:35 Project
Beginning in 2022, Haven Church began a new initiative called the Matthew 25:35 Project. We prepare a warm meal during Thanksgiving week and distribute to our community to show the love of Christ. You can join us in support of this work by providing food, committing to deliver meals, or supporting the work financially. We want to bring hope to people that are hurting or neglected or struggling during these difficult times. That is what being the hands and feet of Jesus is all about.
